Cybersmart Vocab

For cybersmart this morning, this challenge was about checking up on our knowledge about being cybersmart. First we needed to complete a word search that included words that related to being cybersmart online. Next we had to match the definitions and we needed to read the definitions and select the right word or phrase.

Rainbows End Trip

On Tuesday 21st November students that were great helpers around the school were rewarded to go to Rainbows End. Some teachers went as well and had fun on lots of rides. My favourite rides were Invader, Power Surge and Stratosphere because of how extreme and exciting it was to flip around on the rides. After going on many rides, some people felt motion sick and stayed with the teachers. Although, everyone had an enjoyable time especially the years 8’s going to Rainbows End.

Prototec Maths

For maths today I worked on a website called Prototec. This helps with improving my skills with multiplications, divisions, fractions, percentages and square roots. It has certain stages you could click to work on from 2 to 8. I worked on stage 7 and learnt how to convert fractions into percentages and decimals.

Athletics 23

On November the 10th, we had our school athletics day. Everyone participated in the activities and had fun while showing FIRE & ACE. Team Koru (our smaller students) had their own rotations such as spoon race, obstacle course and many more. The older kids (Team Tui & Team Kea) had 6 rotations which were long jump, shot put, discus, rob the nest, relays and high jump. My favourite highlight of the day is how my friends and I went to the same rotations together and all had a try because there were no boys around. Overall athletics day was a fun day for GTS.
